Emma has nine years in business aviation and is responsible for what the company can actually offer: which operators are on our list, which routes we cover properly and which destinations we can put an aircraft into at short notice. When a board of empty legs is thin in a particular corner of Europe, it is her job to change that.
She works in English, Greek, Czech and Russian. Those last two are less decorative than they look. Prague is one of the real centres of European charter and a great deal of the fleet that flies central Europe is based there; Greece is where the summer traffic goes and where the island fields are hardest to arrange from a distance. Both are markets that open up faster in the local language.
The two halves of that sentence are deliberately kept apart. Emma brings operators to the company because they add something we do not have; Henry decides whether they meet the standard we are prepared to put clients on. An operator that would widen our coverage and still fails the check does not go on the list, and that decision is not hers to overrule.
This is the most useful reason to write to Emma. If you travel a route we do not cover well, or to an airport that never appears on our board, tell her. Coverage is built from exactly that kind of message, and a request from somebody who flies a route regularly is worth more than any amount of market analysis.
The same applies if you are an operator. If you have aircraft repositioning empty through the UK or Europe and would rather sell those sectors than fly them with nobody aboard, she is the person to talk to.
